The Orality of Pre-Islamic Poetry
شفاهية الشعر العربي الجاهلي
The title suggests that there is more than only one orality... The phenomenon of orality resembles a rivulet which has no colour of its own and thus takes an mirrors the colour of the soil it runs upon. What are the specific attributes of the pre-Islamic Arabic orality? How exactly did this phenomenon imprint itself on the pre-Islamic poetry and how did it alter the relation and interaction of form and content? These questions represent a cluster of intertwined problems which we will try to deal with.
يشير عنوان المحاضرة إلى وجود أكثر من شفاهية واحدة... تشبه ظاهرة الشفاهية جدول ماء لا لون له فيأخذ ويعكس لون الأرض التي يسيل فيها. ما هي خصائص الشفاهية العربية الجاهلية؟ كيف انطبعت هذه الظاهرة في الشعر الجاهلي وكيف تأثرت في العلاقة القائمة بين الشكل والمعنى؟ هذه الأسئلة والأسئلة الأخرى المتصلة والمتشابكة بعضها بالبعض سوف نحاول الإجابة عنها.
