The Rabat Spring School 2015 takes place from Monday 23 until Friday 27 March 2015 in Rabat, Morocco. The overall theme of the Spring School is 'Thinking about things: Images, objects, collections'. This year's Spring School invites to reflect on the place of images, objects and collections in current scholarship on the past and present Muslim world through specific case studies. During the lectures and workshops in Rabat, light will be shed on the methods to get inanimate things to 'speak' and on the additional value, if any, gained by image- or object-based research.
The Spring School's organisation is a joint effort of :
Centre Jacques Berque (CJB, Rabat)
Nederlands Instituut in Marokko (NIMAR, Rabat)
The Netherlands Interuniversity School for Islamic Studies (NISIS)
It is with great pleasure that we welcome you to what promises to be a fruitful Spring School !
