Frederic Vandenberghe, visiting researcher at CSH, together with Alain Caillé, Philippe Chanial and Stéphane Dufoix is organising a prestigious international symposium on the non-utilitarian foundations of general social theory. The symposium will take place from the 16th to the 23rd of May 2015 at the Centre Culturel international de Cérisy-la-Salle, in Normandy, France.
The venue of the event's reputation - the castle of Cérisy-la-Salle- is well-known for the epochal debates it has historically hosted around the work of Heidegger, Barthes, Habermas, Derrida among others (see http://www.ccic-cerisy.asso.fr.)
